Home and Dry

Earlier this week I found myself thinking about Gerry Rafferty songs for no apparent reason, and remembered the old song "Home and Dry." Here's a video of the song, created by hodgepig007.



Then on Wednesday morning, I read the news of his death.

Oh boy.

Before my mind meanderings earlier this week, I had only thought of Rafferty a couple of times in the last few years - when I heard Blacksteel & Badger's "Toxic Jerry,", and when I heard the odd stories about Rafferty's disappearance.

Obviously the song "Home and Dry" (lyrics here) was written decades before Rafferty's more recent troubles, or non-troubles, but at least now Rafferty is at peace.
